Hi! I'm Matt and I make geeky-ass 8-bit chipwave as Watch Out For Snakes.
What the heck is chipwave?
If you've ever wanted to put something in your ears that sounds like Mario made a baby with Stranger Things, good...you're in the right place. I layer NES and Game Boy chip sounds to create darkly energetic tracks that pay homage to old video games and 80s films without taking things too seriously. And while I absolutely love writing new tunes, my real passion is connecting with people by performing and sharing that music.

In 2020, I made the decision to quit my day job and pursue music full time. Great timing, right? While I do make some revenue from streaming platforms and am pursuing some film and video game composition opportunities, most of my current livelihood depends on direct support from fans like yourself!
